1. Overview

TashiOS is built around a simple idea: your projects live on your server, not ours. This policy explains what information we collect to run the service, what we do not collect, and the choices you have.

By using TashiOS, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve TashiOS:

Account information: Name, email address, and account preferences you provide at signup
Billing information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers
Subscription and license data: Plan, status, trial dates, and license validation records
Usage metrics: AI request counts, token usage, and cost totals for your budget dashboard
Server metadata: Hostname, IP address, version, health status, and resource signals needed for support, security, and updates
Support communications: Emails and messages you send to us
Marketplace and program data: If you publish to the App Store, Web Showcase, CreatorsHub, or Affiliate Program, we store the account and listing data required to operate those features

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not read, store, or use the content of your private AI conversations for advertising or model training
We do not access files, code, or projects on your VPS in normal operation
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers
We do not track activity inside your TashiOS desktop for ad targeting

4. Your VPS, Your Data

Each paying TashiOS customer receives a dedicated server. Your code, files, databases, and deployed projects stay on your server.

Connections between your server and TashiOS infrastructure are limited to what the service needs to function, such as:

License and subscription validation
AI proxy routing and budget accounting
Software update delivery
Health monitoring and abuse prevention

5. AI Features

When you use AI tools in TashiOS, your prompts are sent to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) through our infrastructure so the request can be completed and billed against your budget.

We log usage metadata (tokens, cost, timestamps) for your dashboard. We do not store message content for marketing purposes.

AI providers process requests under their own privacy policies. Do not submit sensitive personal data you are not authorized to share.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use different tools on different parts of TashiOS:

Marketing site (tashios.com): Google Ads conversion tags may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure signups and ad performance. You can control this through your browser settings and Google's ad preferences.
Customer portal (my.tashios.com): Session cookies for secure login. Required for account access.
Your TashiOS desktop: Authentication cookies for your workspace session.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies inside your private TashiOS desktop.

7. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

Provision and maintain your server and account
Process payments and enforce plan limits
Provide support and security monitoring
Send service, billing, and important policy notices
Improve reliability and fix bugs
Comply with legal obligations

8. How We Share Information

We share information only when needed:

Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
Hosting and infrastructure providers: Server provisioning and operations
AI providers: Delivering AI features you request
Legal and safety: When required by law or to protect users, our rights, or the service

We do not share your VPS file contents with these providers unless you explicitly use a feature that requires it.

9. Data Retention

Account and billing records are kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after closure for legal, tax, and dispute needs
Usage statistics for budgeting are retained for operational reporting (typically up to 90 days in aggregate form)
After cancellation, account data is deleted within 30 days of subscription end unless we must keep it longer by law
Data on your VPS follows the retention rules in our Terms when your server is decommissioned

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including TLS for data in transit, hashed passwords, and encrypted storage for sensitive credentials. No online service can guarantee perfect security. Keep your login details private and export important work regularly.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access a copy of personal data we hold about your account
Correct inaccurate account information
Request deletion of your account data, subject to legal retention requirements
Export projects and files from your VPS at any time
Opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages

12. Children

TashiOS is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. International Users

TashiOS is operated for a global audience. Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. We take steps to protect data regardless of location.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or site notice. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
